Summer edition
Recipes I've made, liked, and wanted to keep.
A running log of what I've baked, what worked, and the small adjustments that turned a good recipe into one I'll actually make again.
WHAT GET BAKED IS
A place for recipes worth making again.
Get Baked is where I track the recipes that earned a second try — plus the tweaks that got them there. Sometimes that's swapping an ingredient because I was curious what it'd do. Sometimes it's just remembering to pull something out five minutes earlier next time.
Seasonal cravings Ripe fruit in summer, warm spices in fall — I bake toward
whatever's actually good right now, not what a calendar says I
should want.
Flavor pairings Why brown butter and stone fruit work. Why a pinch of salt
makes chocolate taste more like chocolate. The combinations that
make a recipe click.
Notes for next time What helped, what changed, what I'd do differently — the stuff
I'd forget by the next time I bake it.

Something to bake and something to read.
Currently baking
Peaches, berries, cobblers, and a lot of ice cream.
Summer means ripe fruit doing most of the work, low-effort weekend bakes, and desserts that are basically an excuse for a scoop of something on top.
